Where are the recruits?SMU has not received any commitments in a few days now. Hey coaches, get off your rears and start getting some commitments. I will be glad to give the coaching staff a motivational speach if it will help.
Re: Where are the recruits?I have a better idea, why dont you give them a Magic Wand, since you apparently seem to think thats all it takes.
In home visits just started this week. Official On-Campus visits havent begun yet. We've already filled more than half the class, and signing days is still 2 months away. What exactly are you expecting? A new recruit every day? We dont have that many more scholarships to give, now is the time to get selective, concentrate on guys who have offers from alot of schools. This is one of the most assinine things I've seen in a long time. Get back in touch with reality before you post this kind of drivel. You sound like an infant who cries when he wants his pacifier, or his diaper needs changing.
Re: Where are the recruits? In response to your post PX, I do not have a wand to give the coaches, nor do I have a pacifier. I also am in touch with reality. As a reminder, SMU has only 1 winning season since the DP. TCU beats us every year. North Texas even wins their conference and gets to go to a bowl game. On the other hand, SMU struggles to win games in the WAC. I get tired of hearing the same crap every year about how SMU will be better next year and how SMU has a young team. Wake up PX, SMU must get the top players to be successful. Although I do not expect SMU to get a new recruit every day, I do expect them to get more top players commited. If that is wrong, then I do not want to be right. From the #1 SMU fan in Dallas County, Johnny Rock.
Re: Where are the recruits?#1 Fan? Did we demote RogersHealy?
PX or PmsX? I think you're in need of a 1 lb. Fuddburger amigo. "It's a couple hundred million dollars. I'm not losing sleep over it." -- David Miller
Re: Where are the recruits?Hey, I got on Johnny's butt the other day about him needing to finacially support the program....if he wants to be a #1 fan, I hope this means he will indeed put his money where his mouth is. Personally, I'll take all the "#1 fans" we can find.
SMU's first president, Robert S. Hyer, selected Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue as SMU's colors to symbolize SMU's high academic standards. We are one of the few Universities to have school colors with real meaning...and we just blow them off.
Re: Where are the recruits? You are right PX. Johnny Rock is all talk sometimes. It is good to see fellow SMU fans in a good dialogue about SMU. We are all on the same team. We all want to see SMU succeed. Maybe I can meet some of the people on this board one day and we can discuss SMU over a few beers. Talk is cheap and Johnny Rock has not stepped up to the plate with his financial support yet, so I guess I cannot be the #1 SMU fan. Maybe I could be in the top 100 though. I will say this...SMU has a bright future in football and I dream of the days of winning seasons. From a top 100 fan, Johnny Rock.
Re: Where are the recruits?Johnny Rock,
I officially declare you the #35 ranked ponyfan with the potential to go as high as #30 before signing day. –Punch "It's a couple hundred million dollars. I'm not losing sleep over it." -- David Miller
Re: Where are the recruits?I dream of the coming winning seasons too...I think this time we have a good chance of success and it's not too far away. So here's to the top 100 fans and their freely given finacial support. Join the Mustang Club Johnny and get involved...it only takes $50 to get started and from there, as far as your support wants to go.

And for Johnny, I'll be happy to talk to you in person anytime. I'm not hard to find.
Re: Where are the recruits?Johnny Rock... I'm tired of your mouth, son. How about this...the next time I see your sorry arse, we'll have ourselves a little contest. We'll play a best of three tournament in pool and if I win, you have to join the Mustang Club. If I lose, I'll buy you and your lovely wife plane tickets to see the ponies play in Vegas this year. I'd rather make the wager on Golden Tee, but I'll beat you either way so I'm not too concerned. Whatdya say you big sissy??? And no, Mr. Lawyer, you can't sue me for slander on a website. Slander is verbal; libel is written. You must be a tax attorney!!!!

Re: Where are the recruits?I guess my post really worked. The next day the Dallas Morning News prints that SMU received a commitment from the wide receiver from Baytown. I guess the coaches read my post and used it for motivation. I applaud the entire SMU coaching staff.
To Ed P....about your challenge...you are on!!! I'll be on Bourbon Street this weekend partying, so we can meet the following week for the bet. From...Johnny Rock--a top 100 SMU fan.
