CB Commits to SMU

I saw a report on the internet saying that CB Ervin McGee (5-9, 175, 4.45) of Ardmore, Okla., has committed to SMU. He received schoarship offers, the report said, from Northwestern and Tulsa, and was getting significant attention from Oklahoma State.

You're correct..he's a 2 star recruit according to Rivals. Here's some info from the site:

As a two-way player in his junior season, McGee racked up 520 yards rushing on 53 carries and five touchdowns. On defense as a junior, he broke up five passes and recorded 30 tackles – mainly because people wouldn’t throw his way or run toward his side of the ball. He is also one of the state of Oklahoma's top sprinters.

From Ervin: "I'm going to SMU," McGee said on his way back from his visit to SMU. "I committed to coach (Eric) Roark on Thursday night. Then I came down here and loved it. I'm a Pony."

McGee is considered to be the fastest man in the state of Oklahoma. McGee is 5-foot-9 and 175 pounds.

The fastest man in Oklahoma? With that kind of pedigree, I can overlook the whole 5-foot-9 thing.

Look at this year's class. We've gotten significantly bigger and significantly faster. Sounds like a recipe for success.
