And the idea of Donnie crushing some unsuspecting DB on a reverse is really appealing!

I forgot to mention his 89 mph fastball without warming up at the Ballpark concourse. He only played baseball for one season. He was more into soccer before football.

I saw him play one time his senior year against North Mesquite...he can throw the ball as hard if not harder than any QB that SMU has right now. He has limited mobility but knows how to sit in the pocket, make a read, and deliver the ball where it needs to go. I looked at the pictures and he looks to have the right size and the right attitude. Good Luck to you and your family...we hope to see you out there practicing soon.

Proud Pony Pa. Please remain true to your id. I hope Donnie is as good as advertised. I wish him well. Lord knows that a lot of crap surrounds the kids during college, and as far as I can tell, he's got nothing on a lot of other kids, athlete-scholar or not. Sounds far from the troubled type that I do know about at other schools across the country.

I hope Bennett is as solid the figure as he is portrayed. If so, then he ought to give everyone a break. No time to play favorites, which was a problem with the coaching staff when I was at SMU.

If Donnie really wants to be at SMU then GREAT. I think many kids don't really understand what it all really means. SMU has more worth in history, tradition, and academics than most understand. This is the home of men like Walker, Rote, Gregg, and many others in football. This is the home of so many other solid athletes and leaders of business and arts.

Ok let's take a vote...from the information given, it looks like Bennet is keeping Gilray from practicing because of a charge or accessory to criminal mischeif. Was Bennet right? I really can't decide? Should he let Gilray come back...

Please, let's not put anybody on the spot right here. This vote would be meaningless. I am ready to talk about Donnie all day, but this list should be for our new talent coming in.
