is a 3 star Athlete from Bryan who I was not aware visited this weekend-He visited despite the fact he was an Arizona commitment. He has also been offered by SMU and Arkansas. Although he had a great impression SMU he still said they came in second to Arizona. He said it was "tight" and "very nice" which are my feelings exactly. Stay tuned on this one-he didn't seem to shut the door and apparently his hosts D.D. Lee, Reggie Carrington, and Anthony Barnett did a great job.

According to the recent updates on his Rival's bio he was blown away by SMU! This staff is doing one hell of a job.

I don't think there is a nicer person than Reggie Carrington on that football team. I have so much respect for him. D.D. Lee and Barnett to top it off...and he had some GREAT hosts. No wonder he loved SMU! I'd really just love to have Syndric Steptoe and Lucky Delay on the same team..ha Image

Steptoe wasn't the only CB committed to Arizona who was at SMU this weekend. Wilrey Fontenot (5'10", 170, 4.4) of Humble, Texas, also visited Dallas, and had a great time. His host was Wesley Medlock, and I hear Medlock very well might have gotten him to switch to SMU. A CB by trade, he's also a terrific kick returner. He's committed to Arizona, but also has offers from SMU and Arkansas. We're battling the big boys for recruits now!

From the same Arizona board as the Fontenot report I found:

Syndric Steptoe
ATH, 5-10, 170
Bryan HS, Bryan, Texas

Steptoe is a versatile athlete who could play either wide receiver or corner back for the Wildcats. He played a variety of positions as a senior, including quarterback. Quick and athletic, he originally gave Arizona a "soft verbal", but has since canceled visits to Texas A&M and Arkansas.

Wesley Medlock is a champ in my book. The kid will never see playing time, yet continues to bust his tail off in practice on scout team. Glad he got to host someone.
