Let's hope he is not pressed into service too early. However, I'm sure Coach B. will make the right call. From what I hear the golf program is getting a boost too.

Yea, he's a scratch golfer; and, he only plays in his spare time unlike most high school golfers. No telling how good he could be if he had instruction.

I completely agree that he and SMU would be better off by redshirting. For those people who didn't come from a 3A program it is hard to explain how big a jump it is to go to Division 1. To me, there's no question he has the physical skills and football background to be successful. However, rushing him into service could be a recipe for failure.

That's one of the most intelligent posts I've ever read. Most people who have any association with a player want him to start immediately out of high school. Most aren't ready and many never will be. Some realism about the process is refreshing.
