List is posted on smumustangs.comThe list is up on smumustangs.com, who is the suprise guy?
The donkey's name is Kiki.
On a side note, anybody need a patent attorney? Good, Bad...I'm the one with the gun.

Re: List is posted on smumustangs.comRyan Wolcott is the only surprise I see but aren't we missing one? No I guess its just Ben Poynter who Rivals has as a commit.

Re: List is posted on smumustangs.comBen Poynter...invited walk-on?
OK, I type too slowly. [This message has been edited by PK (edited 02-05-2003).] SMU's first president, Robert S. Hyer, selected Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue as SMU's colors to symbolize SMU's high academic standards. We are one of the few Universities to have school colors with real meaning...and we just blow them off.
Re: List is posted on smumustangs.comSo Wolcott got a scholarship, that's cool...
What does the list tell us about the "secret" signing that has been rumored for a few days (the one that we can't talk about)? Does this preclude that or is there still a scholarship available?
Re: List is posted on smumustangs.comThe big surprise was a kicker? Presumably he got offer only when the linemen chose Colorado. Foregive me, but I don't consider that a great development, more like a nice consolation. Some of you guys shouldnt build things up so much, geez.
Re: List is posted on smumustangs.comWolcott was the late addition.
Was there any player in the country who really belonged at a school more than Wolcott at SMU? Congratulations to him.
Re: List is posted on smumustangs.comI think the original surprise was Ricky Wilson, but for whatever reason he didn't pan out.
I was wondering how Wilson could get into SMU when he couldn't get into TTech. He would've been a great addition, but if for nothing other than good kharma, we needed to sign Wolcott. It just would've been wrong for Doak's progeny to by playing in Lubbock. [This message has been edited by PerunaPunch (edited 02-05-2003).] "It's a couple hundred million dollars. Re: List is posted on smumustangs.comI don't think Wolcott was supposed to be the big surprise, and from the tone of other posts, it sounds like there may be another one tonight. If so, someone needs to post it on the forum. Overall, this looks like a strong class, with a fair amount of size, attractive skill position players, and something we haven't had in years, the potential for a lot of quality depth.
Re: List is posted on smumustangs.comYou might also add that this is the fastest class I remember, and I've been following this stuff since football returned.
Re: List is posted on smumustangs.comSo nice to see it in black and white. It really looks like a solid class. Nice to add a kicker; I assume he starts immediately.
At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.
Re: List is posted on smumustangs.comI'm not giving up on McMurtray yet.
Of course, I'd love it if Wolcott is so good he just takes the job. I hope all the freshmen are so good the returning starters have to fight for their jobs!
Re: List is posted on smumustangs.comfor what its worth Houston's fans report 20-21 confirmed commitments but no Ricky Wilson yet. But I'm not sure if we got a shot. At the same time that some of you guys were saying that Bennett was excited about a surprise commitment from an R.W., Ricky Wilson visited UH over the weekend, committed to UH according to his HS friend and took a LOI with him. So I guess its still possible but probably not probable.
