We've only got two committs. I'm sure we have four or five for the year. The Lith. dude wants to play for their national team, and Donnie Nelson just happens to be the coach of that team. That helped us land him, per Rivals.
The attitude dictates that you don't care whether she comes, stays, lays, or prays. I mean whatever happens, your toes are still tappin'. Now when you got that, then you have the attitude.

SMU does have just 2 scholarships to give, theoretically........ and now they have 2 commitments, Ritter and Killen. So, to sign someone else, another player would have to quit/transfer/leave/be run off/get a medical release from their scholarship, etc...........

Some of the players SMU is looking at havent quite met NCAA eligibility requirements, yet. So, they may be planning on picking up someone else in the late signing period.........

Of course, all of this is merely speculation and intended for entertainment purposes only. CPC categorically denies any and all rumors and does not acccept responsibility for anything, what so ever. the new recruit plays at Tulsa Holland Hall which will be a big step up to SMU. Holland Hall is or at least used to be in the Southwestern Prepatory Conference with small private schools like St. Mark's, OKC Cassidy, Greenhill, Houston St. John's, Houston Kincaid, FW Country Day, Cistercian, and Ft Worth Trinity Christian.

No, not unless something drastic has happened in the last few hours that CPC doesnt know about.

CPC was trying to be subtle before, but lets briefly recap: Some of the recruits SMU is looking at havent made NCAAA minimums yet, besides the JC kids. Roberts took the SAT last month, but doesnt have his score yet. Yesterdays Rivals article says Ritter hasnt passed the NCAA clearinghouse, either. There is a strong possibility that another scholarship will miraculously become available in the spring. Work all that out.

CPC read in another thread that you were going to be at practice this afternoon, so he will try to fly by. If scheduling permits CPC will be available to discuss all such issues and sign autographs for his many loyal fans.

:p  :smart:

Can someone please tell me when basketball signing day is. If I remember correctly, it is sometime next month.

I like our starting five this year. What concerns me (as usual) is our bench. Any thoughts?

Yes.
SMU's first president, Robert S. Hyer, selected Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue as SMU's colors to symbolize SMU's high academic standards. We are one of the few Universities to have school colors with real meaning...and we just blow them off.

What kind of a player is Ritter? Is this a guy with some serious potential? At 6'7, I assume he will play the small forward spot. Like most of the Euros, I assume it will take him a little longer to get acclimated than normal. Thats okay though, I think with Devon Pearson we are gonna have a pretty strong small forward ahead of Ritter by a year.

the early signing period is Nov. 12th-19th, as mentioned previously in this very self same thread. You're welcome.
