Is this kid legit?

Postby SMUFan » Fri Oct 10, 2003 10:21 am

There's a mention in Friday's DMN of an offensive lineman at Dallas Carter named Charles McDaniel. Says he goes 6'2" and 365! Can he play, or is he just a big guy?

I found one website that said he's interested in Texas, A&M, Florida and Iowa .... but it didn't say anything about the coaching staffs at those schools being interested in him. It also said he doesn't have any offers yet.

Has anyone seen him play? Is SMU pursuing this guy?

Maybe (Carter grads) Desmond Jones and Anthony Barnett can help bring him to the Hilltop!

He's not on the Dallas Morning News area top 100 list, for what that's worth.... but that story today describes him as the "anchor" (no kidding) of an offensive line that's paving the way for Carter to put up unbelievable numbers so far.
