no but TCU will most definitely take chances on the marginal recruit SMU won't. Your two biggest recruits from two years ago were partial and non-qualifiers Robert Merrill and Earl Anderson. Anderson's a JC now and has recommitted now. He's bring along a top teammate that couldn't even graduate from JC in two years. Ladanian Tomlinson was a partial qualifier. Lonta Hobbs was a late qualifier. These are quality DIFFERENCE MAKERS. Your quality BB teams under Tubbs were built on JC players. Don't get me wrong I don't have a real problem with what TCU is doing now because they limit the marginal students to reasonable numbers although I think under Tubbs you were pushing the envelope-but its nothing that OU, Tech, Baylor, UH et al isn't doing-just setting the record straight about some of the differences in admission standards. Give me 2-3 difference makers like those above which TCU has consistently offered over the last 8 years or so and SMU would be on the road to recovery.
