Yes-the season is over for most JC/HS players and things are really heating up on the recruiting scene and will probably continue to heat up until the Christmas black-out period. Some of these kids are starting to realize that ain't going to get that offer from OU or UT. Things can really change as that realization set in.

So would you rather Phil spend this off week preparing for TCU, or trying to sell some recruits on SMU. I'd choose the second.
Stallion, very interesting point you bring up. I was wondering the same thing. We are recruiting 4 jucos that we know of and they are all qb's. Bennett was quoted saying he was recruiting a juco qb-not juco's in general.
I sure hope the higher ups don't think that the qb situation is the only problem and will allow just that position to be upgraded this way. I feel like I'm stuck in that movie "School Ties", minus the bigotry.
Maybe this is the beginning. If we get a qb in here and he is a "big" success, maybe it will open their eyes that 2 or 3 every year ain't bad.
