Vincent Chase To Take Visits

Postby 50's PONY » Tue Dec 02, 2003 3:07 pm

Insiders says that Vincent Chase is going to visit Kansas State, LSU, and Florida sometime in January. He said he is still pledged to SMU but wants to have some backups to make sure he made the right decision.

We can NOT lose him!
Sounds like Bobby Chase is still committed - we need to help re-convince his little bro that SMU is the best place for him.

I've got to wonder if it has anything to do with the fact that he was recruited by Coahc Ringo. I don't know how close they were. But the timing is interesting.

A lot of recruits from every team, be it at an undefeated team or a completely defeated team, still take their visits....

Relax people. He should take the visits. Most highly regarded players do. If SMU is the place for him, then it will happen. Have faith.

Don't forget that Phil's brother is his high school coach too. That cannot hurt.

He's probably just checkin' out the scenery and having some fun with it. If he wants to be here, he'll be here.

A lot of recruits are visiting those schools around this time. Assuming that he is just visiting, I think its a great opportunity for a solid plaer to get SMU's name out amongst some top prospects. Not all the guys that visit LSU, Florida, etc. have necessarily gotten an offer. You never know, a solid player out there who is undecided may all of a sudden become interested in this school in Dallas that offers early playing time that at least one big-time recruit is turning down the big name schools for.

Also, if he makes these visits and some of these teams make a hard run at him, it will probably increase his ranking in the recruiting rankings, which will only make SMU more legit when he does stay with his committment.
The attitude dictates that you don't care whether she comes, stays, lays, or prays. I mean whatever happens, your toes are still tappin'. Now when you got that, then you have the attitude.

Last I heard, Bobby Chase was still 100 percent gung-ho about coming to SMU. He and Vincent are close. Also factoring in to the equation is the fact that the Chase brothers are pretty tight with Lucky DeLay and Zach Hall - and 2005 commit Chris Hall. This is where he belongs, so the whole Irving Crew can play together for the first time in their lives.
