The Mustangs' class is top heavy but lacks depth. Their top two recruits are from outside Texas, and there was a big emphasis on the offensive line with four of SMU's top five players are on the offensive line. Although the class is heavy with offensive lineman such as Joey Fontana (New Orleans, La./Brother Martin), the quality is very good. The Mustangs needed to add some higher-caliber skill to the class, but were unable to pull it off.

I'm just hoping the qb from NMS can play saftey.

We should redshirt everyone. Playing true freshmen is a recipe for disaster.

Overall just another class until proven otherwise.

Nice grammer. . .

"Their top two recruits are from outside Texas, and there was a big emphasis on the offensive line with four of SMU's top five players on the offensive line."

"It is a Texas-laden class with almost every signee coming from Texas."

Wow. That article is awful.

Title: Mountain West Schools Thriving

.....and then goes on to discuss only 3 MWC schools, 4 C-USA schools, a WAC school, and Notre Dame.

And it makes the leap that solid recruiting classes from yesterday will put these schools in BCS contention for THIS season!

Hey, nice to know we have only won 2 games in 2 years, but after yesterday we are now in contention for the BCS!

Can't wait to see you all in Pasadena!!!!!! :D

If you want to get a solid picture of each recruiting class in Texas-go to Texas Football. (see thread below). They did an unusually great job of analyzing the signing classes in Texas. These little thumbnail reports by ESPN and what was Scout, Inc. are not much better than toilet paper. I think the one done on SMU in the DMN was particularly bad-you know some of these reporters don't know a thing other than what they hear at the Signing Day Pep Rally.
