Petrino says he does not want to even consider an OL recruit under 6'6". But I still stand by my thought that after the BCS picking, then a quick, agile, strong 6'2" kid may be a better option than a 6'7" uncoordinated, gangly kid. It would be nice to get back to recruiting on an equal basis with the BCS but I do not foresee that in the near future.

Certainly its been proven over and over again that 6-2 or 6-3 Centers are fine. A very athletic 6-3 guard might excell at Guard-but I'm talking about unusual gifted kids-which we at least haven't gotten in the past-we'll see with this group. Otherwise, you look for the 6-5+ guys if you can get em especiallly at Tackles and especially in a Passing Offense.

This thread has gotten WAY off track to a usual rant.

The question is, given the size of our OL how tall does a QB in this system need to be?
