...according to Rivals. WR 6-2, 190 4.45-you may remember that when his more highly recruited cousin Keith Dickerson backed out an expected commitment to Arizona the Wildcats also backed off Jamel. SMU has apparently told him they will save a spot for him to see how he does on his recently taken ACT. This is not an unsual problem for teams that go deep into the playoffs like LaMarque which won the 4A State Championship in mid December. Often these kids will put off taking the ACT or SAT because of the commitment to the team. Then when the season is over in mid-December they often don't have a qualifying score. TCU is still talking with according to him but he appears to be shooting at the SMU conditional offer. Also, had Missippii St and others looking at him. He had only 12 catches for 188 yards and two catches for TD but LaMarque was loaded at every skill position this year-every skill position player was considered a Division 1A prospect. Also, the starters rarely played past the start of the 3rd Q as La Marque had an average victory margin of about 35 points per game. Plus they had one of the Top Junior RB in the nation in Ball so there simply were not enough balls to go around. But he must be a top KO-P returner because he was credited with 8 TDs-not sure how he got the other 6 but probably there.
