I like getting quality JUCOs after their freshman year, we need a reincarnation of the great Jemeil Rich, one of my favorite SMU players of all time!

40 percent from the 3-point line and 80 percent FT shooter looks really good. You figure Doherty is building this team to be a run and gun team that will rely heavily on the 3-point shot, so he should fit right in.

Maybe we can get a little Sonny Allen action going.

Maybe he can also teach the rest of the team how to shoot free throws since they were awful at it in 2008-09.

I apologize if this has already been mentioned, but in high school he played with a sophomore guard, Lenzelle Smith who is a top 100 (4 Star) class of '10 player and Ohio St commit. Zion went 31-3 that year so I'm surprised Clinkscales didn't get more recruiting attention...

An article posted in one of the other threads stated Clinkscales was a late qualifier and many schools had no scholarships left at that point.

He comes w/a pretty nice resume. A fill-it-up combo, just what the doctor ordered. Doh needs to push the tempo. Now go get a Big or scoring SF.
“When I first committed to SMU, I thought it would take a couple of years of building. But with these players coming in, we should make a run. We have a lot of heavy hitters. It could get real ugly for a lot of teams we play.”- Jalen Jones

You can never have enough good, quality guards on a team.
