Its been a great 3 days of basketball with the local HS bb games & today's great game @ Moody.

Over the last 3 days I had the opportunity to go to several of the HS tournaments & got to see several of the players that we are recruiting.
I saw 3 juniors that according to rivals we have offered. They are:

Rickey Scott, Irving McArthur- 6'3" SG, Nick Hinton-6'6" PF from Frisco Wakeland & TJ Taylor, 6'3" SG from Denison.

First, Coach is right on the money with his evalution offering these kids. Any or all would be outstanding players for us. All 3 are special players & very talented.

Scott & Hinton are very smooth . They don't force anything & let the game come to them. Scott gives you good rebounding & solid D @ the 2 guard. Hinton is fundamentally sound with a high BB IQ. Nice left handed game. Runs & jumps well too.
Taylor is just a left handed scoring machine. He takes over immediately.
Once he crosses half court u can see his eyes light up.
Doesn't play much D or rebound but u can see when he's forced to he can. Both Scott & Taylor are very strong physically for 2 guards.
Scott actually looks like he could avg about 10 more pts per game but he appears to be such a team player that he focuses on other areas of his game. Actually played PG most of one of the games I saw.

Another very impressive player I saw was Cameron Clark, guard/forward from Sherman. He can do it all @ 6'7".We aren't on his list of favorites right now but u never know. Sherman's only 45 minutes North of Big D.

In addition to the kids mentioned above, I have to tell u that I'm really excited to see Washburn for Duncanville looking @ us. Getting one of the talented kids from that program would do wonders for us.

I guess the big question is how many scholarships will be available for these kids but I came away very impressed with the 3 kids Coach Doh has offered.

If u like HS BB I highly recommend going to see the kids play that I mentioned above. They are all local & just juniors.

Outstanding SG has moved up to a 4 star. We were one of the first to offer, now the competition is getting alot tougher.

Also, since my original post, Taylor signed with OU & Hinton still has us on his list.
