I understand UAB is courting him. Wonder if he made it to Legion field on Saturday

Nope - you've got the Chase Williams from Virginia that V Tech got. The Chase Williams in question is the young fellow from Boaz, Alabama. I'm pretty sure he hasn't committed

I actually thought that the "train left the station" for this recruit...our class was full. Are we still pursuing him?

I'm still waiting for the first poster claiming that "the class is just about full" to be right. Heard it each and every year for 20 years and its never right. We'll take at least 22. I bet SMU took at least 8 maybe 10 players after that statement was made about last year's class.

They did not say the class was full. They said they were through recruiting. They still have offers out there they are hoping to get.

You are right about limiting new offers. But, I had understood that we had stopped pursuing this kid due to the number of commitments we have already received. He is not one of the one or two recruits (out of of our top 5 offers) we are still hoping might come our way. Perhaps his teamate that committed to BYU had something to do with our "new" lack of interest. Based upon his (lack of) other reported offers, why hasn't he committed?

I heard coach jones say 25-28 at the football lunch. Actually me and about 400 people heard him say it. Was that info not posted?

Williams with another great game-27 tackles including four tackles for a loss, two quarterback hurries, two quarterback sacks and caused a fumble.
