Nope wrong OL guy.....we just lost a 6'7 290 stud that could go anywhere who elected to come to SMU against much local Cali advise. ...this is a big loss and a PR nightmare as he has been living in Dallas since last month....why mess with these kids lives so much?...

OP was not talking about the academic situation...he was simply giving an update on Dontae Levingston. In a recent interview, Levingston has narrowed it down Florida, Oregon, SMU and San Diego St...says the reason he likes SMU is the coaches and program on the rise

That he would even want to come here all the way out from Cali after Jackson's issue.

I dont think that will shut down the entire state of california.....that is a bit chicken little. I think we have 3 other kids from California in the 2010 class and one of our top guys is from CA. I think we will be ok.

What will it take for us to be not over-reacting.... If JJ leaves after this year I think we will be upset for not reacting enough...

He's not going anywhere and this is a problem he's been aware of from the second he first considered the job. The problem is lack of athlete friendly majors and the solution has just been pushed uphill to admissions rather than on the rather more embarassing flunk them out of school side.
We are not on a level playing field and everybody here knows it.

He's not going anywhere this year, but I wouldn't bet on anything longer if things dont get fixed

I am loving this comment, clearly no one would even want to come here all the way our from Cali! As many have said, step away from the cliff.
