According to TheInsiders.com, Richardson (Berkner) DT Trey Bryant is considering SMU among his early choices.

Trey Bryant
Ht: 6-2 Wt: 295 40: 4.98
Position: DT
Projected as: DT
High School: Richardson (Berkner) HS

Biography:
Junior Stats: 54 tackles (6 for negative yards) and 7 sacks.

Schools of Interest: Arkansas, Baylor, Kansas State, LSU, SMU, TCU, Texas A&M.

He reports medium interest in each school. Only Baylor has offered so far.

OK, he's in 11th grade. You figure very few guys are completely done growing by the 11th grade, so maybe he projects to .... 6'3"? 6'4"? 6'5"? And he could get up to .... 310? With those 6 tackles for losses and 7 sacks, it sounds like he moves pretty well, too. On paper, at least, he'd fit right in with Brandon Bonds and Desmond Jones, etc., in the middle of the line. That would be three big DTs!

A few years ago I moved down the street from Berkner. I am going to wear my red SMU shirt and go to a couple game this fall and see this kid.

Eric Neal is Berkner grad, maybe he could help!!

Alright BUS, that's putting your money, er..., efforts where your mouth is. It is good to call for recruiting of BIG MEN and even better to do something about it. :D
