I think he's responsible for recruiting Arlington. If that's right, there was a mention of a couple of players in the DMN the other day (Tuesday) who Coach Edmondson might want to look at. The paper was wrapping up its preseason look at area high schools, and under the Private School section, it profiled Arlington Grace Prep. Apparently they have an RB named Sheridan Forte who goes 5-10, 220, and is described as a strong and powerful runner. It doesn't say how fast he is, so I expect he's not a top-flight sprinter. But he sure looks strong and athletic.

It also mentioned a junior OT/DE named Wesley Oglesby, who's listed at 6-7, 230. Sounds like the kid from Weatherford who signed last year with TCU (I forget his name). Tall, long frame, and says he runs a 4.7, and already is drawing the interest of recruiters. If he can add a lot of weight, you might be looking at a prototypical OT. If he stays in the same range he is now, or increases his weight only slightly, you have one imposing DE candidate.

Anyone know if we're interested in either of these two?

If we can afford the time to develop, I like the idea of an OT/DE with that kind of frame.

Oglesby sounds like a BUS pet project if ever there was one. Hand-deliver him to Diesel and see what he can produce, eh BUS?
