Who Is Clint Bricker?Max Emfinger does this every year-so take it with a grain of salt but he has SMU in the mix for QB Clint Bricker Austin Westwood rated the 10th best drop back QB in the country(ahead of National Recruits like Colt McCoy who committed to UT). Bricker is reputed by Emfinger to be 6-2, 205 4.55 but Rivals actually measured him at their camp at 6-0, 196 4.56 and recently gave him a 5.2 rating. Rivals quoted his coaches a couple of weeks ago as saying no one had offered. Emfinger has got Kansas, Utah, UTEP and SMU in the mix for Bricker
QB Clint Bricker passed for 412-yards and six touchdowns and rushed for 118-yards and another touchdown, giving him 530-yards and seven touchdowns last Friday night! This Post-Season All-American QB will play for the West Team in the All-Star Bowl Game!
2004 TEXAS/LOUISIANA LAGNIAPPE HIGH SCHOOL POW'S OF WEEK #10 BATON ROUGE, Louisiana - Mr. Webster defines the word Lagniappe (pronounced Land-Yap) as a little something extra with a purchase. Re:
True, Pony. Send "Em" a tape & $20 & you're kid becomes legit D1 player. That said, Bricker's Westwood HS threw all the time (they also went 4-6). He ended '04 with 2000+ yds passing ( 1 game 58 Att.). Austin paper claims he is recruited by UTEP UTAH & SMU. But he looks smaller than 6' and 200. Of course, James Street never grew into the "protypical size QB" either-- but he did okay for himself & UT...
Have you seen him play?Clint is 6'1 3/4 205. The rivals test was done on May 1, 2004. He also ran a 4.56 at that combine also.
He is that big and the game he threw 58 passes (no Interceptions) he completed 38 (5th all time in the state of Texas) of them for 441 yds. Yes their record was 4-6. They lost to Smithson Valley, Westlake, Cedar Park, McNeil, Pflugerville (all playoff teams and 3 of those teams are in the 3rd round) and their other loss was to Churchill (7-3). For the season he was 227-389 2, 449 yds 21 TD's and only 8 Ints. He rushed for 327 yds and 6 TD's. He was their whole offense. They did not have a RB and had 3 of their 5 WR's under 5'8. He has home visits already set up with Kansas and New Mexico. Utah is off the radar, but Utep, Tulsa, Tulane, and North Texas have all started calling. This kid can play.
i saw this kid bricker play vs georgetown and he was unbelievable they didnt have a runningback except as a blocker and the defense dropped eight or nine the whole time and in the first half he had three hundred and fifty yards passing and five touchdowns in the second half they started not even trying to get to him and he ran for one hundred yards and two touchdowns and threw for one hundred more he was incredible supposedly smu is going to take two quarterbacks and they are going to offer this kid we could sure use him heard he has offers from utep kansas new mexico tcu and is talking to ut if colt or perilloux decide to go somewhere else but apparently he likes smu the most out of all those and he is just waiting for them to offer
