JUCO's

Postby LakeHighlandsPony » Tue Dec 14, 2004 9:41 am

Was the addition of 2 Juco's what was expected or was the opinion we were going after more. I love the addition of secondary help over 5 ft. 3inches. I wish we could have got a nasty DL who could pressure QB's. These 2 guys sound good though.

I heard specifically about 3 JUCOs, but the two that committed yesterday weren't the ones I heard about. So hopefully some more are on the way... At least that's the plan. I think.

If we could get 4 or 5 jucos that could really contribute, that would be just what the doctor ordered.

I say get as many as we can get in here. Seriously, at the end of the season, the only people who complain about how many JuCo players a team has are the folks on the opposition's message board, and maybe some of our own administration, but who cares about their opinion of the football team anyway.

Do you think that the UTEP alums are saying, "Yeah, Mike Price did a heck of a job, but he did have a bunch of juco transfers so the season doesn't really count" Same for Fresno St. a few years back, or even Kansas State.
Ok this is getting ridiculous...I agree with Dutch on THIS ONE POST by him totally

I would give anything to get a quality JUCO WR.

You mean another quality JUCO WR don't you? Looked to me that Bobby Chase was a good quality WR pick up last year and will be a factor in the years to come.

No, I didn't mis-type.

Are we going after any JUCO receivers?
I hear about JUCO linemen, and maybe more JUCO secondary help, but are there JUCO WRs we're chasing too?

As far as I know, we're not. Haven't even heard about any high schoolers we're after. In our offense, this is a definate position of need.

This offense still isn't going to do much unless we can sent it deep.

I concur. We need a tall WR JUCO and a TALL WR HS

They didn't even think he'd play, but he earned a spot. He doesn't have the blazing speed to be a #1 WR. We need a #1. Then BChase can complement us against the #2,3 DB.

I think Bobby Chase can be a #1 WR. He took a few games to get settled, but in the second half of the year, he made enormous strides. If he continues to work like that story on the home page describes, he might be an all-conference WR - and MAYBE even next year.

Having said that, gimme a tall, fast WR - either JUCO or HS.

My understanding is that we are or where pursuing a JuCo wide receiver. Never got a name or a school, but that was one of the 5 positions we were looking at for a JuCo. Safety was also on that list. Didn't know about LB.
At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.
