TCU gets Big Division 1A Transfer

Postby Stallion » Tue Apr 26, 2005 3:52 pm

North Crowley's Kevin Langford 6-9, 225 has decided to transfer to TCU from Cal. Langford was an Academic Blue Chip and considered all of the top academic BB schools when he first came out like Stanford, Virgina and Cal. Went to same schools as Kevin Lewis' son Kelvin. Kevin is an assistant coach at TCU. Could be a trend.

Trend of BB transfers...or players from N. Crowley because of one player? Perhaps, but SMU has as good a chance at the same trend.

TCU may have the reverse trend started as two of their players have decided to transfer out of TCU.

Langford is a great pick up by CND, but I doubt it will sway young Kelvin. I get the feeling Kelvin does not want to be around his dad 4 more years and having Kevin as an asst is not a plus for TCU. Who knows in the end.

Blake Adams is leaving after getting into NDs dog house last year after a promising freshman season. Don't think there are any others. When CND first arrived a few years back he did advise a couple of tall skinny kids that they would be better off at another school , but did contact some coaches on their behalf. TCU usually gets more transfer in than out.
