Stallion I don't find the negative sim in other Sports commentary. For example Fox was very complimentary of SMU last night. Do was the Ticket.

then they were lying!!! ever thought about that. Please spare me from the media who thinks everyone is a winner on signing date. That's usually because they are too ignorant or lazy to figure out the truth.

Who cares really? Does anyone know their ratings? Galloway is so out of touch now its pretty funny. He hardly ever talks college if I ever tune in. I cant imagine their ratings are any better than 105.3, remember when it was a 1 station sports town?? As others have said, we are irrelevant in terms of coverage in Big 12 country.

I've heard Galloway cheer for tcu because of what they have accomplished and how well they are supported. He has been supportive of SMU and the turn around that has taken place when JJ first came on board. He has criticized the SMU fan base, rightfully so, because they do not come out and support the football team.
Yes those shows are driven by ratings and in my opinion if more of the SMU fans would support the teams and be more vocal maybe the radio talk shows would be more inclined to talk about SMU sports.

Norm is the only one in town that mentions SMU on a semi regular basis

Nor do we have anyone calling into any talk shows asking to talk SMU

well those calls are screened. The Ticket has really tried to give SMU a fair presentation especially when they have had TCU, Tech, A&M big games or remote coverage. They spotlight Rich Phillips, homer calls of the week and they are extremely complimentary of the Boulevard scene and quite frankly June Jones. They generally comment on our result on that Day Corby focuses on College football. Probably because they carry our games- but even Ryhner is positive and so is Corby. They used to be a lot tougher on Mike Cavan-(Georgia State Trooper) and SMU in general. The Hockey heads are irrelevant because they obviously don't know or care about any college football (other than from Draft perspective) -and only pretend to so

All the local sports radio covers is pro sports. No college gets much radio mentions even during the football season. They all fight for oxygen against the cowboys and pro football.

Have you heard any one of them talk any college basketball other than at tournament time. Rarely.

I bet the stars get more coverage than most any college team in any sport. It is virtually all pro sports all the time in Dallas Media.

The bottom line is Galloway is perhaps the worst as far as SMU is concerned!
