UH Gets Sixth former Division 1A TransferFormer Texas A&M RB Derrick Brown who transferred first to a California JUCO and will be eligible next year. Former No. 44 player in Texas and was offered by Nebraska, OU and A&M. 3 star recruit.
With all of these great transfer and juco athletes Houston is getting year after year, I can't believe SMU beat them! Not to mention, on their home field!
And we play 'em in Dallas in 2006! Yeah, baby! ![]()
Like it or not, we have plenty in common with UH. Conference mates in the 2 largest cities in Texas, both competing with professional teams as well as UT and A&M for local support, and neither doing a very good job of it. So yes, I would like to know when UH signs a kid from A&M. I would also like to know the circumstances of his departure.
I think some people lose a lot of creditability on this board by their obvious anger towards Stallion. What would be really interesting is to see the number of D1-A transfers each C-USA school has and the school each player transferred from.
And the third thing that would be interesting to know, in addition to the points you would like to know, is how many are effectively contributing to the new team. Sometimes transfers contribute, sometimes they don't. This guy may contribute at UH at some point but obviously since he is not eligible, he has not yet contributed. I would say the same thing if WE had a transfer in from a good D-1 program like A&M.
Sometimes they transfer because they won't be getting any PT, b/c they suck
and we care because?
What we obtain too cheap.. we esteem too lightly. It is persistence alone that gives everything its value.
My thoughts exactly...........
you mean you actually have an ORIGINAL thought-because literrally the last 10 out of 13 posts that can be found on this board of yours were nothing more than telling me to go to hell. Literrally 80% of your posts on this board for about 3 months have been exactly the same way. But let me assure you [deleted] like you who attack me without any content inspire me to continue to tell the full unvarnished truth about why this program sucks. The fact you could sit here and claim that Division 1A transfers and JUCOs as well have not had a major impact on the success of the FB and BB programs at TCU, Tulsa, UH, UTEP et al shows what a true moron you are. Seriously you add nothin to this board. I dare you to form an intelligent factual argument debating my arguments.t you can't because you don't know what you are talking about-so I'm sure you will just continue your petty comments as usual because you don't have the intellectual capacity to do otherwise.
And you wonder why we make petty comments? Good gosh.. read your last post.
It doesn't matter what SMU does Stallion.. it's never YOUR way. No one has ever questioned your knowledge about recruits, transfers or whether someone's height or 40 time is a farse. But why lash out at SMU and people on this board when you set yourself up this way? No one cares that the Cougs got a good transfer unless we were in the mix? Was SMU in the mix? Could any of the 6 guys transfer into SMU? If not.. why is this even on the board? My guess is that they're going to Houston for several reasons.. but who's to say that we were not interested.. or they couldn't qualify academically? Pipe down.. pop a pill and lay-off the coffee What we obtain too cheap.. we esteem too lightly. It is persistence alone that gives everything its value.
No the issue is whether SMU is on a even playing field with its competitors under NCAA approved rules. That is fair game. You may not want to hear it-you may want to blame every AD and Head Coach instead because most of you are seriously uninformed about what goes on with our competitors. Guess what. I've heard this [deleted] for 18 years and I've had enough.
Wrong. You, the thinking man's football fan, don't care, remember?
Ok Stallion, then what are you going to do about it? I've heard you say for at least three years now that you have had enough, so what are you going to do to fix the situation? Are you going to start a letter writing campaign, are you going to offer to give a substantial sum of money, or raise a substantial sum of money for the athletic department if they change the model? Or, are you just going to keep whining and now stop going to the football games as well as the basketball games?
My guess is the latter, because for at least three years I have heard you whine about the state of the model and offer no solutions, that you would be willing to take, or that we as fans can take to get things changed. While you do post some useful information, far too often you do nothing more than complain. The donkey's name is Kiki.
On a side note, anybody need a patent attorney? Good, Bad...I'm the one with the gun.
