It looks like Dustin Bell's recruiting is blowing up. He has 6 Ints now for the No. 1 JUCO team in the country and he shut down the No. 2 WR in JUCO.. Schools from the Big 12 like K-State, OU, Oklahoma St, Oregon State Nebraska etc etc are starting to get involved. SMU, UTEP, Tulsa and Toledo have offered. Expect more soon with his perfomance. 2 Years to play 2. Story was by a Nebraska correspondent-no real mention of SMU except as a team that offered.

Hopefully the new coach will be impressive enough to get Dustin to join his brother with the Ponies.

If he is as good as his brother, then I would love to have him. We would be set at CB for a couple of years to come.

Derrius played really well down the stretch. I thought he was pretty damn impressive in the Memphis game. Would love to get another just like him.
Go PONIES!

Apparently he picked TCU over K-State but wants to take a few more visits.

well that would be sweet. Another brother of an SMU Football player going to TCU. Wonder why he doesn't list interest in SMU?

Presumably waiting at least until he knows who the coach is, no?

Coaches talked as if they were going to offer and never got back to him.

I'm guessing this will be one of the first calls a new coach makes, hold on a few days!

Those coaches are gone. Make sure he listens when the new coaches call!

He will be at TCU this weekend to announce his committment. He is solid for TCU.
Kid is a good one and think Derrius will be another good one for SMU. Just great athletes.

I swear, SMU can botch anything. The kid's dad said we lost contact and didnt offer him? I thought Orsini had a recruiting waiver. What was that for? Can't we at least keep friends and family in the recruiting loop? just wow.

The recruiting waiver was merely to contact the current committments and let them know their committments would be honored. Orsini is not on the recruiting trail. The waiver ended November 11th. I am sure that when a new coach is hired he will recruit new players. Hopefully they will be good.
