Maybe his catching ability has been questioned by some programs. However, with his blend of size and speed I would think that several teams would be willing to teach him to catch.
Those who complain about a problem are simply wasting time they could use to fix it.

This may be a small school and he may have just gotten overlooked. This kid might be able to pluck it and run with the best.

Eastern Shores may be a prep school and that name sounds somehow familiar. I'm doing a little diggin'. Here's one game that shows that he can play all over the field.

Hargrave Military 35, Atlantic Shores 22
Jonathan Hardin rushed for two touchdowns and passed for another to help visiting Hargrave Military past Atlantic Shores. The loss sent the Seahawks to 0-4.

E. J. Drewery caught two long touchdowns from Todd Haynes in the fourth quarter, but the Seahawks were held scoreless in the second and third quarters, while their opponent racked up 21 unanswered points.

Drewery had a busy game, notching an interception, returning a kickoff 95 yards for a score and catching the subsequent two-point conversion. He also added 7 tackles.

Running back Justin Crowder, a former Atlantic Shores student, had 52 yards rushing for Hargrave (2-1).

Key stats: AS—Haynes 8-13-2-225, 2 TDs passing; Clark 3-72 rushing; Drewery 6-213, 2 TDs recieving. H—T.J. Bennett 3-7-1 72 passing; Hardin 9-81, 2 TDs rushing, 2-66 receiving; Patrick 12-67 rushing.

Since we are getting our share of players related to former NFL players, like Robiskie and Whittington, I wonder if this kid is related to former NFL player Willie Drewery?

One thing for sure, Hargrave Military has a bunch of Rivals 5,4, and 3 Star kids this year and alot of those kids are going to Auburn, Michigan, North Carolina etc. If he had 2 long TD passes against talented Hargrave, and a 95 kick off return also in that game, he sounds like a player.

Sounds like he might be a sensational player. You're a defensive coordinator, and you see Pat Fleming, Bradley Haynes and Drewery lineup in a goal-line situation. How many teams have the DBs to stop THAT?

No doubt, Hargrave is simply loaded. The fact his team only lost by 2 TDs & he accounted for 3/4s of his teams points, speaks volumes
“When I first committed to SMU, I thought it would take a couple of years of building. But with these players coming in, we should make a run. We have a lot of heavy hitters. It could get real ugly for a lot of teams we play.”- Jalen Jones
