We're one scholarship over our quota. With the addition of Faye, we're currently at the limit. We graduate 3 seniors, but signed 4 incoming freshmen. So the answer to your question is either one or more of the incoming recuits doesnt come here next year (Prep school or JC), or someone currently on the team get's kicked off or leaves voluntarily. Simple enough. Cameron Spencer was Doherty's recruit. Doherty didnt honor any of the Tubbs commitments except Alex Malone, and he released Papi Nyam from his signed Letter-of-Intent. Try not to choke on the Kool-Aid.

Not that it matters, but Papi is Averaging 2.6 points, 3.6 rebounds and 1.2 turnovers per game for the Fighting Golden Griffins.

He played in 13 games and started 6, as a freshman he played in all 28 games, and started 13. If we're going to talk about that lost class, the player that really could have helped us was Eugene Spates, Spates has played in 53 games, starting 10 times, for Northeastern. He averages 7 points per game but has had big games against big teams, 19 points 7 boards against Pitt, 20 against Boston College, and 21 against James Madison. But, I guess we didnt need a 6'8" junior college forward. Nope. Try not to choke on the Kool-Aid.
So has the scholarship situation been sorted out? By my count we are now at the limit. Would McCoy definitely be a 2-sport athlete for us? If everything goes according to plan we should have 5 freshmen (Clarke, Dubois, Haynes, Otis, Nyakundi), 5 sophmores (Dia, Harp, Kwiatkowski, Malone, Walker), 2 juniors (Faye and Williams) and 1 senior (Fall) on the roster. My only question is how does Coach Doherty plan to balance the roster so that we have closer to 3/4 recruits per class? will he kick 1/2 players off each season?
