Aledo 69 LaMarque 34 Finalpretty exciting 4A Championship on Fox Sports featuring the 2 All-State 4A RBS. Superstar Junior RB Jonathan Gray (3,000+ yards in 2010) is averaging 23 yards per carry on 5 carries. He's probably the Top 2012 Recruit but he's the son of former Texas Tech RB James Gray. LaMarque is led by Junior RB Tim Wright(over 2400 yards in 2010)

Re: Aledo 21 LaMarque 20 2nd QActually after a big 40 yard run I think Tim Wright has about 140 yards rushing-195 yards Total Offense now early in 2nd quarter. Gray has at least 130 yards rushing. Wright has 5 plays over 25 yards. This could be a Classic RB Shootout

Re: Aledo 34 LaMarque 27 2nd QCrazy how late in the year the playoffs go. You're saying this kid is top recruit in Texas or top anywhere?

Re: Aledo 34 LaMarque 27 2nd QI haven't seen the National Lists yet but Gray has been considered the best in Texas since early in his Sophomore year. Just watched the highlites-the Tim Wright kid is going to be a 4 star at a minimum-he has great speed and athleticism. I think his 4 highlite plays maybe better than Gray.

Re: Aledo 62 LaMarque 34 4th QWoW!!! Gray goes 54 yards for his 8th TD of the Game and 59th on the season. Jonathan Gray with 325 yards ob 28 carries-and really he was just running out the clock on a bunch so his ypc was negatively affected

Re: Aledo 69 LaMarque 34 FinalI have seen every carry, every yard, every TD every everything of Gray's SPECIAL -- because that's what it is -- career for the last 3 years. And I get to see one more.
IMO, he is the best RB I have seen in person in the last 10 years. Better than Adrian Peterson. And I have no problem saying that. He is the complete package. Can get tough yards when needed, runs away from the secondary and his vision is exceptional. And what gets overlooked is that he does a pretty nice job of catching the ball out of the backfield. LaMarque is very fast but Gray made the Cougars pay for their over pursuit and made their speed work against them. That's pretty special. If he's not one of the top 5-10 2012 national recruits, I'll have a problem with the recruiting services ability to judge talent. This is a once-in-a-program's history-type of player. And SMU has no shot at him. We're not even on his radar. Texas, A&M, TCU are in it. OU was in on it but may have messed up something from what I hear (hard to know if that's accurate) However: We may want to look at their TE Justin Breshears (2012) and their LT Michael Wilson (jr.). Now, we may have a shot at the Wright kid. I think Tech has offered?
Re: Aledo 69 LaMarque 34 FinalWe talked about him on this board 2 years ago. He is the real deal. Maybe Cole Loftin can put a word in for us. I sure hate to see hom play for the Sand Aggies.

Re: Aledo 69 LaMarque 34 FinalI hate La Marque.
