Yep.

Austin Westlake 2014 QB Jordan Severt (@Jorvock_QBtx) has committed to SMU as he spoke to assistant coach Bert Hill moments ago.

6-4, 225 and a 4.7 40 from a well coached program? There will be many more offers. Look for Mizzou

Agreed. Like Walker, this sounds like a guy we're getting now, with more offers to come.
Video looks like he has a pretty live arm.

Look up Severt on YouTube. There are several interviews with him, and he seems pretty sharp. So we're looking at a big QB with a strong arm and a good head on his shoulders who plays at a high school that produces some solid college players. This is a good get.

Same H.S. as Drew Brees, Nick Foles, and Tanner Price (Wake Forest QB).

Some of Jordan's highlights from this past season.

Led his team to the Semi Finals in which they lost to Cedar Hill on a game winning field goal.

Also has interest from Ohio State per rivals.
Here's what some of their fans think about him, don't be surprised to see several more offers by the end of his senior season.

If he has anything more than a form letter from Ohio State, that's saying a lot. The job Urban Meyer is doing in Columbus is allowing him to go after the bluest of blue chips again, and if Severt is even on his radar, this might be an absolute steal.

Severt is a very strong player. Have heard about him for several years. We should be happy about this.

Hmm. The film looks pretty good. He couldn't get away with all those throws at the next level, some would be picks, but nice pocket presence, steps up and senses the pressure and can run. We can work with him. Welcome aboard! Now can he get a couple of those receivers to come with him?

We could stock up on players from Westlake, Houston Lamar and Everman.
Could do a lot worse.
