Dave Richards' son commits to SMUAccording to Dave Richards' Facebook page, his son Tony (listed on-line as 6-6 and 250), an offensive tackle at Highland Park, has committed to SMU.
David Richards Well SMU offered Tony Richards a scholarship yesterday and he accepted. I'm one proud Papa. Go Mustangs. PonyFans.com ... is really the premier place for Mustang talk on the Web.

Re: Dave Richards' son commits to SMUVery nice!
It's interesting that these guys' kids are now coming of age and some are committing to SMU (Hollie is another one). I'm assuming ED doesn't have a son -- too bad he couldn't get RSJ to come here.
Re: Dave Richards' son commits to SMUFantastic! But boy does this make me feel old. (Wait, I am old.)
Re: Dave Richards' son commits to SMUWonderful news. This speaks well for SMU. I look forward to watching him play.
Re: Dave Richards' son commits to SMUWe passed in the sons of other SMU greats ... We could have had quite a star-filled sidelines...
Re: Dave Richards' son commits to SMUWasn't his mom an athlete, too? Swimmer or basketball or something? We already know what a great (and big) athlete his dad was ... I'm thinking this guy could grown into an absolute monster. Maybe, just maybe, you could pair him with Jerry Saena and develop them into beasts.
Welcome, Tony!
Re: Dave Richards' son commits to SMUWell, we now have plenty of size for OL (6'7" Reich, 6'6" Myers/Chewie/Briggs/Richards/Walling, 6'5" Weeks/Saena/Holloway (no comment).
Not that height is any kind of indicator, but it's to look the part anyway.
Re: Dave Richards' son commits to SMUGlad he is coming to SMU, but is he any good?
