David Moore Game Performances

Postby Stallion » Fri Aug 28, 2015 11:32 pm

Moore's Alpharetta Milton lost to Alpharetta High 24-21 in the last 2 minutes. Moore was 14-24 184 yards and 1 TD. Not too bad-I think Alpharetta has been Region Champ in 4 out of 5 years

Milton pretty much had to start over this year after getting to the state quarter finals in Georgia 5A last year. They lost to eventual champ Colquit County 42 - 35 or something like in an away game after trailing by two touchdowns at the start of the fourth and the last Milton possession ended on the opponents twenty yard line. That might have been as good a game as anyone played against Colquit County last season.

Harry0569 said he would go to the Alpharetta game last night. Waiting for his comments if made it.

I hope he was able to make it to the game.

Highlites from Game 1

some good stuff in here-looks comfortable in the pocket patiently finds his receivers-some quality throws and does a great job reading the coverage for a high school QB. All the throws are pretty well placed in the breadbasket on the money-although we didn't see his 10 incompletions

Highlites from Game 2

not as successful getting the ball downfield but here are about 8-9 completions mostly on crossing routes in a 14-3 loss to another tough traditional Georgia program Norcross. Norcross has won 2 7A State Championships in last 5 years. Tough front loaded schedule for Milton. Even on completions Norcross looked to be in good position really flooding the zones Moore was throwing into

Trivia: Norcross has the biggest high school video screen in America:

And Audie. And Brandon Benson. :-)

Bulk up Xavier Jones and I'm not worried about our offense AT ALL for the next 3-4 years.

David Moore's Milton team won their first game of the year-something like 18-12 over Lassiter which I believe was the conference opener. This video highlites his mobility as it appears he was under heavy pressure. I like his composure in the pocket even when things break down. You can see him reading the defense in most all his videos. Great on crossing routes but I'd like to see a little more vertical. Haven't really seen much long ball from him

David Moore's team got blown out again-this time by the No. 50 ranked team in the Country-Roswell. Not sure of final but I think it was 42-7 in 4th Q. Just a brutal schedule this year. Here's highlites this week. Tight coverage on even his completions

Things are beginning to make sense
This is what the Norcross Coach said about Milton:
“They’re good,” Maloof said of the Eagles. “They lost everybody — they lost about 19 or 20 starters, but they play hard.”
