I just don't understand why we couldn't build it at current practice field. Make it visually appealing from outside - maybe even retractable. Perhaps too costly and can't fit it into UP code but then again the whole damn neighborhood was built BECAUSE of SMU. If it's that badly needed they'll figure it out.

Rivals has at 74 now...Morris has done a great job with not a lot of time. Can't wait to see what he does for 2016.

tiger J, how likely would memphis repeating this season's success be? are you guys looking to rebuild or build upon? Serious question, not being facetious.

TigerJ wrote:I have a question for SMU fans. We literally just got this WR out of Dallas. He had heavy interest from Pittsburgh and Texas Tech towards NSD. Why isn't he more highly recruited? He seems to have good measurable for a receiver. Is it grades or is it more to due with the state of Texas being so huge? http://memphis.247sports.com/Board/5948 ... #M35299111
according to rivals he has plenty of interest from all of the big schools but no one pulled the trigger. https://rivals.yahoo.com/footballrecrui ... nes-141124he's probably one of those recruits that was on the big school's boards, but they got their first choices to commit and passed on him. If that's the case he's likely a solid pick up and is the kind of recruit G5 schools should love. That or possibly injuries or maybe an academic/character risk. I wouldn't know though, I'm at work so I don't have time to do an extensive search of him.

I am going with 8-9 wins next year. Our offense was freshmen and sophomores last season so they should pick back up where they left off. The defense might not be as lethal as it was last year graduating 8 starters but there was a lot of true freshmen and sophomores that got lots of playing time in 13 of our games. It is a wait and see with defense for the first half of the season. The good part is that these guys have a lot of raw potential to begin with and we also have some Nebraska transfers that will help out next season. In all we should have another good season, maybe not 10-3 but 8-9 wins should be a reasonable expectation given the experience we return on offense and our defense just needs to keep playing aggressively. I like our new DC because he is big on physical in your numbers defensive pressure. I like to see how we play against Ole Miss this season to find a clear mark for this team.
I'd hope so. For the conference's sake we need everyone to show up, especially in OOC and Bowls.

78 after they removed Crockett from the list. Still unbelievably impressive what they've been able to do in such a short time. All of his kids had good offers. SOOOOOOOOOOO refreshing.

Tied with UTSA...interesting. But they are going to sign 31, including 7 JUCOs. Next season will be top 40 easily.

FTHP is that you? Top 40 easily? Hahaha if we're in the 50's next year, that will be absolutely huge. Cindcy is leading the way right now for G5 and theyre #55.

So, I'm 99.9% sure the answer is "it's behind a pay wall" but I'll ask anyway...why did Rivals remove Crockett yet no other service has? Is he on the fence or some other issue?

Wondering..247 still has him as a commit and the others have him as only having an SMU offer. Wondering what happened.

Why? Because he's a 3* or because he doesn't have a single FBS or even FCS offer?
