I don't know how we can guess if this staff can coach.
But yes, they sure seem able to recruit. Part of it, of course, is the hype surrounding every coaching change -- the new staff always comes in full of excitement and enthusiasm.

I didn't know he was named the MVP in the Houston area.

Only on this website would the discussion vary from (thread to thread) on future bowl bids to secret fears of successful recruiting by... RICE.

Stallion is now obsessed with Rice. They put together a dream recruiting trio, and he is salivating at their possibilities.

its no coicidence that Tulsa has had 2 great seasons-a hell of a lot better than SMU-since Todd Graham was hired as Assistant Head Coach/Defensive Coordinator. Its also no coincidence that in the middle of recruiting season, Tulsa has not gotten a single commitment since the day before Todd Graham quit to become head coach at Rice. That's approximately 24 days-and that is after a CUSA Championship, Liberty Bowl Victory and didn't they finish in the Top 25. The loss of Graham is a devastating blow to Tulsa.

And Rice football is still underfunded and plays in a sh!thole and has cr@ppy lockerrooms and a cr@ppy weight room. They also have arguably the worst basketball court in the northern hemisphere.
We'll see.
Edit: And no, Tulsa didn't finish in the top 25.

Oh, I am following them closely, too.
Did I mention all their chicks fell off the ugly tree and hit every branch on the way down? I walked around the Rice campus for something, I don't remember what, and it was almost disturbing. My neighbor went to Rice. I asked his wife if she went to Rice, too. "Oh, God no," was the response. I think she was insulted.

If Graham can turn Rice around, he deserves a chance at a top 10 program. Kragthorpe must be worried.

Rice came into our backyard to pluck probably their No. 2 Target by getting North Garland Safety Max Anyiam 6-1, 190 from North Garland. Anyiam decommitted from Minnesota and had offers from Minnesota, Missouri, Utah, Wyoming and very real interest from SMU and TCU.

Rice has now stolen a commitment from UH Commit Terrence Garmon from East Texas. Last weekend they got a commitment from Southlake WR Evan Fentriss who was offered and visited SMU and Tulsa.

anybody noticed that UH has lost about 6-7 commitments this year-and about 3-4 were 3 star players.
