Great to have this big man! Is there any information about his rankings in the state by rivals?

Nothing other than height, weight, 40 (6-3, 321, 5.2) and the fact that he chose SMU over offers from Baylor, Boston College, Colorado State, Houston and Stanford.

WELCOME TO SMU, JOSH!

he's not in the Rivals' Lone Star Recruiting Top 100 but probably not too far away. A tad small for an OLM to be put on that list probably as they generally prefer the 6-4 to 6-6 type OLM. Actually, I don't think that the official Rivals Top 100 is out yet as Lone Srar Recruiting is simply the UT affiliate to Rivals.

Maybe a tad small for their list at tackle, but PERFECT size for a guard or center!

he'll do just fine but when you are talking about the Top 100, Coaches if they had their pick would generally chose the tall, long arm player at OLM. Only one OLM under 6-4 made the Top 100 and he barely did at No. 96.

Forgive me for being ignorant, but how does someone make first team all state as a junior and not rank in the top 100?

You do have a reputation Ralph, and a good one. I was simply refering to your quick wit and sometimes juvenile jokes, i.e. Masters and Johnson. I'm a 20 something so I enjoy them, don't think Mrydel does though.

As far as the 'stache on the new 'stang, he's probably trying to cull favor from the head 'stache.

All-State simply has no correlation to recruiting if the player doesn't have the size, speed, strength or quickness coaches are looking for. Just about zero.
