Doherty went to all of Ryan Harps games and we have arguably one of the best recruiting classes SMU has seen in years (maybe a decade).

They are doing the right thing. If they want a player, they are doing everything in their power to get him.

I think Doherty has proven that he can recruit better than any other men's basketball coach we have had for a long time.

An understatement to say the least.

I still think a correction is required.."better than any men's coach at SMU", why limit the comment to basketball?

Because soccer is a Men's program that kicks as*. Swimming and golf are pretty successfull.

Now if we say Mens REVENUE sports, you'd be correct. (even though we lose money on all sports here)

Actually, I think depite Mens Soccer's record, I could argue that Doh is the best recruiter currently on campus. Why? his recruits have won a National Championship and he is recruiting against far more basketball schools than play Men's Soccer. All due respect to our Soccer program, both coaches are proven great recruiters (which one of your children do you love the most?), my only wish is that one day we can have a real lengthy depate as to who the best recruiter is and the head football coach is included as one of the finalists in the discussion.
