Jones said SMU is looking hard at local players who had previously orally committed to other schools. Some Hawaii recruits might also follow Jones.

That certainly smells like Fuller. I wonder who else they're bringing in?

WAY early to be claiming any kind of victory at anything.

Saying it does not make it happen. There is a ton of work to do. If we end up wiht the 5-6 guys we had plus 10 decent recruits it will be a huge victory given the time table.

Post signing day is when I think it could be interesting - we should be on the top of everyones "oops - I meant to go there" list, given the situation -which could bring in some transfers and JUCO's post signing day.

We need immediate help in the way of 2-3 DL and 2-3 LB's along with at least 2 OL. THat will at least keep us on the field with most - and maybe get us 4-5 wins.

Then the real fun begins.

If Jones manages to add another five names to the five we have, that would be remarkable. He has two months to sign kids, get JUCOs and DI transfers like the Keeper of the Star said.

Really, the question will be what kind of impact he and his coaches will make at the May evaluation period when they are crisscrossing the state at high school spring football.

[/quote]..............I'm sure Coach Jones will sign a good QB prospect or two and some quality WR's. I just hope we can also get the 2 or 3 DL's and 2 or 3 LB's we need to be competitive defensively next year.
