Actually, they lost to Lake Travis in the 4A Division II title game. But, you're right, Gamso was a big reason they got there.

Damn, he broke physics, too?

Winston is one of the better kids you will ever meet, but also one of the more uncoordinated athletes around. Heard him described by his close friends as goofy, akward, gangly, etc, but somehow he gets it done.
Once he grows into that body and gets a little stronger he could be the steal of the century.

Wish I was 6'4" and graduating HPISD to go to SMU, no matter how gangly, goofy, awkward, etc. I might seem. Call me crazy, but it sounds like a recipe for some good ole-fashioned success to me.
Allen doesn't coach crap. The kid'll be fine.
That said, I saw youtube's medley clip of Bo Levi. Kid's got cajones 'cause his O-line was porous.

That is the impression I got looking at his highlights. Slow release and kind of stumbles as he runs, and not as accurate as some acrobatic catches may make his statistics look. He may well grow into his body, and if so could contribute. In comparing his film to Bo Mitchell, Mitchell appears to be light years ahead of him in release, accuracy, and "zip" on the ball. This is just a personal observation from me based on rivals film highlights and nothing else.

If he pans out it'll be one hell of a Lucky Strike for JJ.

Funny name though. Gamso sounds like the leader of the fourth planet in the Xectarin system.

If I remember the DMN said he got an offer from Lehigh but turned it down. He only became the starter after Crews was injured. Once Crews returned they split time.
Saw him in the game against Kilgore and he does seem to lack some mobility also holds the ball way to long.
I was wondering where he might end up.

I thought roughly the same thing. With the name Winston Gamso, I imagine an alien in a cardigan.

Saw him at practice Tuesday - legit size, and looks fairly strong.
