Jevon Kearse was recruited to Florida as a safety. Not saying this guy is the next Freak, but it does speak well for his athleticism.

We used to get a lot of kids from Abilene Cooper back in my day.

"I'm committed to SMU. I'm just keeping the door open."
I'm sorry, could you repeat your contradiction? Forgive my lack of enthusiasm over this. As far as I'm concerned, we have one commitment -- the safety out of Houston.

For what it's worth: that story has him as a 6'1.5" defendive end. Rivals lists him as a 6'3", 240-pound defensive TACKLE.
Odd.

Which one of him committed to us?

as far as I can tell all the above measurements are not verified. But the Abilene paper which follows high school sports in a town like that pretty darn close is more likely to be correct I would think.

It might be a soft verbal commitment, but I think everything will work out for us.

Henderson is from Abilene Cooper which is a much bigger school-I think in the "Little SWC" although I think they broke that district up some. He is in Texas Football's video files if anyone subscribes to that service http://64.233.169.104/search?q=cache:_F ... d=12&gl=us
don't forget Byron "Bam" Morris, Ron's brother from Cooper, TX

The story says: "When Cooper's Brandon Henderson burst onto the scene with 43 tackles, four sacks and nine hurries as a sophomore in 2006, it became apparent to many that the 6-foot-1 1/2, 230-pound defensive end was destined to play football at the next level."
When he was a sophmore he was 6' 1.5" and 230. Or that is how I took it, so the larger measurements would not be a surprise a year or so later.
Go Ponies!! Beat whoever it is we are playing!! @PonyGrad

Kind of off topic but Cooper, TX is where both sides of my family are from. Mom and dad were high school sweethearts there. Its just a tiny little town about twenty miles south of Paris.
Back off Warchild seriously.
