On the subject, does anyone know if Hudman will be returning this year?

I thought we looked pretty good at saftey in the spring. I don't think Banjo will factor other than maybe depth or special teams. We definately needed depth at corner - the top 3 are really good, but beyond that is sketchy. These corners are really important pickups.

McCann and Bell appear solid, and hopefully the JUCO guys - McElroy and Thomas - can play. But the coaches were pleasantly surprised with the performance this spring of Tim Crosby, and think he will contribute significantly this year, too. If the JUCOs can play, maybe we can redshirt every freshman DB and let them get bigger and stronger before taking the field.

Remember that Coach Jones said at the Signing Day press conference that the best players will play. Considering that Rock Dennis is 1 safety, then McElroy, McCann, Bell, and now Bennie Thomas are all CBs, there is an opening at the other safety spot beside Rock.
And for the record I am NOT Banjo's dad.

all of a sudden I think maybe we can keep Tech in the 30's. Remember what the guy who lives in a van down by the river said when his team beat Tech in Ft Worth: speed, baby!
I'll be pleasantly surprised if we lose by fewer than four touchdowns.

If Rock Dennis has one of the safety spots locked up - without ever having played a down at SMU - then it's just as safe to assume Tyler Jones or De'Von Bailey has the other spot. Jones, I think, ended spring as the starter. Maybe Banjo will crack the rotation, but if one returning player is designated as the starter, a returning player should be named as the starter at the other safety spot, no?

At some point in time I think we will see Banjo and Dennis as our 2 starting safeties.

They would come from Alabama with a Banjo on our D.

Summer school grading should be easier.

Summer school grades are always subjective - the professors have too much leeway
