Ha! They just lost their No. 1 4 star Recruit. Ga. Tech is recruiting a bunch of 3 star guys and will end up in the middle of the pack of the ACC recruiting where the best teams get 4 star kids. Georgia Tech has had a competitive program going to something like 10+ straight bowls-they fired the last coach because they thought that was mediocre.

Playing Devil's advocate after that rather rough 'suck it'...but how is PJ doing such a fantastic job recruiting this year? He is getting literally smoked by GA and his class is average at best compared to ACC classes right now. Better than Duke, BC, NC St. But much less talented compared to FSU, UNC, Clemson. It is better than we have...but recruiting to GA Tech and recruiting to SMU are two very different animals.

They did just get RB Anthony Allen the transfer from Louisville which is an excellent pickup-I hope enjoys running the ball 10-12 times a game-will likely transfer again.

Georgia Tech's "place" is (and had become - prior to Johnson's hire) in the middle of the pack in the new ACC. I think the A.D. recognized that and it was a big part in the decision to go with Johnson. He has shown that he can compete with his system and "lesser" talented guys. Should be interesting to see what he can do with a bunch of 3 star guys playing a system that is so frustrating to defend.

Yea, I'm a booster for another ACC school and it's safe to say we're all pretty nervous about him w/that offense, and 3 & 4 star recruits. He'll be dangerous in a few years

He's shown the ability to win at Navy with an admitedly deeper pool but of lesser athletes. Be interesting to see what he'll be able to do at GT.

As has been said many times before it is much easier to run that offense at the service academies due to the lack of talent[and the discipline they instill that is needed to run that offense]-we'll see what he can do on the big stage. My guess is he'll do well but that offense is simply not one that most fans want to watch week in and week out.

Should've never let Mack Brown get away. For multiple reasons.
