Ok... Well I guess I will cancel my subscription to Scout. If he wasn't #2 then they shouldn't run with a story that says "Scout.com: No. 2 Center picks SMU over Nebraska, others" They must have meant Scout's #2 and Stallion's #10 picks SMU over Nebraska and others. It's not a argument, it's a fact. Go back and look at the archived story.

It is very common for different services to have different rankings and evaluations of players. While I am not claiming you are wrong for saying scout ranked him the number 2 center...other services had him in the 8-12 range. Regardless, he is a great recruit and we should be very happy to have him at SMU

the SMU Scout guy was trying to spread some SMU "cheer" which you guys love to run with. At the time SMU first starting recruiting him along with 10+ other teams I think he in fact was ranked No. 2. But I checked the actual Scout position rankings prior to his commitment to SMU and he hadn't been No. 2 for awhile.

Here nor there, the most important quality, beyond stars and 'ranking,' is offers, is it not? Wasn't Fontana offered by Nebraska, Stanford and Arkansas to name a few? Beats the hell out of NW State, SFA, Cisco and Ranger, does it not? C'mon.

I gotcha...Well either way I am excited about the future of the O-line.

Didn't the Dallas Morning News say he picked SMU over Tulane and Stanford?

At the point of that article, he had narrowed down his final choices to Tulane, Stanford and SMU. I know that Arkansas offered and pretty sure Nebraska did along with some others.
