I'm taking a new approach to the rest of the season. I'm not expecting any wins, but please for the love of God show me some improvement. If we are still sputtering on offense, throwing dumb interceptions, poor tackling, lack of playmaking on defense, etc. then I'm going to be pissed. Just give me SOMETHING. Hell ANYTHING to be positive about and I'm happy. Right now there are zero positives to this season.
Back off Warchild seriously.
You are clearly already disappointed. The last four posts I have seen you demonstrate that fact quite effectively. Anything to be positive about, and you are happy? I think not. I think the bar is pretty up there. That's okay, but jtstang's M.O. on this kind of stuff is more practical. Expect nothing, and be pleasantly surprised. ![]() BTW, has anybody seen biggin? "Moderation in all things, and especially in Absoluts [vodka]." The Benediction, Doc Breeden, circa 1992
I'll say this once more. I like jt's cute mantra, but assure you it is quite impossible to have no expectations. You can expect that we'll lose the rest of our games as SMT apparently does -- but that's still an expectation. I expect to win five this season. Four more to go. What will I do if we don't? I will be upset but invested in the program.
Gamble of Lincoln already has had two interceptions by Halftime tonite in an apparent victory over Hillcrest. A NTSU commit Daniel Mayberry is having a big nite too for Lincoln with about 160 yards in receptions-about 120 in the first quarter. Kid is averaging over 30 yards a catch this season.
