Plus 5-11 is a bit short for a elite safety - if this is indeed what he is ...more the size of one of our safeties - no? - guess the speed makes up for that issue.

He had trouble with the science portion of the TAKS. He had qualifying grades and qualifying SAT but a severe weakness in one area. He is on schedule to graduate in June and is a really well-spoken player and very upfront about his problem with the TAKS test.

He would be a very nice addition to any program and kinda got lost when he took his first year off to be an assistant coach. Plays both CB and safety so would fit in very well as a cover safety in the TCU 4-2-5. Very good speed and cover skils, but definitely can hit.

Time to get off our high horses Pony Fans-June Jones took the same kind of kids to build his proram at Hawaii and both Doherty and Jones are taking the same kinds of kids at SMU. Its called Division 1A Football. Completely within the spirit and rules of the NCAA

Have to agree with Stallion on this. We just need to get better at finding this sort of player. This sounds like a great pick up for TCU. As long as he isn't a science major of course. :D
When will I start feeling stimulated??

What is wrong with having a few players that major in "professional football"? We have Business Majors, Engineering Majors, Pre Law, Pre Med, etc. If any of our players make it to the NFL, they will make more money then all of them. This is the basis for user friendly majors. Some people are meant to be pro players and they need to have the conduit to get there.

Gosh. Should this just be an empty chat board? I kind of thought this was what this board was about. Sorry. I will post blank pages from now on.

If you do your future position as comedy czar will be in jeopardy.

I'm specifically talking about transfers. Same topic, different month.

Well you know, I have been around for almost 60 years, and if you are going to limit me to subjects that have not ever been covered, I guess I should just go away. Recruiting is not that complex.

Tell you what. I am going to continue to discuss. Why don't you stop reading.

If the guy is a qualifier, then we should offer these types. TCU gets players who are sometimes marginal non-qualifiers and on occasion wins the qualifier lottery. The question is whether we can afford to hold open a spot for a really good non-qualifer and hope he qualifies, or settle for a decent but not great qualifer. I think it depends on the class and the needs. But for a skill player, or a solid DT, I might take the risk.
