Just b/c a kid is first team all-conference doesn't make him a better prospect. Even the CCCC coach will tell you who the better prospect is, regardless of numbers. Look around Texas at the JUCO kids crushing huge numbers, and you'll see very few w/legit mid to high major offers.

Don't fool yourself thinking a true freshman pg is going to be a difference maker for this unbalanced roster. A solid freshman pg can contribute but not the missing piece many think solves the problem. Many problems to fix.
We've discussed this and I'd be for bringing on multiple playmakers, if only for more scoring & ball-handling punch. I don't much care if it's high school or juco, but we really need kids that can put the ball in the bucket, and create looks for themselves and others.

i dont doubt Pats is the better prospect. Im for grabbing both. I just dont want to be left holding the bag when/if all these great pg prospects go elswhere.

We have at least 3-5 visits lined up this month w/PGs. We're in decent shape

Thank goodness they are coming in the off season. Could you imagine what a top recruit would think attending a SMU home game @ NyQuil Coliseum. Where the f- - - the fans?

Graduating early must be TK. If so, good for him and good for SMU. What a waste of a basketball scholarship. Let's think - SMU has Derek Williams, Mo Faye and possibly TK leaving. That leaves McCoy, Harp, Walker, Luttman, Clink, Haynes, Otis, Dia, Nyajundi. Thats 9 on the ride. How many can a basketball program have per year? SMU currently has 3 signed for next year assuming they all qualify (Smith, Pats & Vilde). *Sidenote: The game is changing but do we not need another BIG man. Luttman is not very productive. If Dia is all SMU has down low (who knows if Vilde or Smith pan out or even qualilfy) it is shallow in the post. Any thoughts to enlighten us?

I'm not going to touch qualifying, but Vilde and Smith are both big kids, and add a lot in one class up front. I think your 5 man rotation up front becomes Dia, Nuk, Smith, Vilde , Otis. That's infinitely better then this year from a size and skill stand point. Hoops has 13 ships total.
