I don't know what he was like at SMU but he is awesome in the hs coach's office now. It has caused our HC and DC to really push some of our guys to go to the Baylor camp this summer. Jim is doing a great job.

Did you ever contact the SMU coaching staff Me?

Your Welcome for playing.....which teams in the above mention offered;
T. Burt? How tall is he? Is he going to be a qualifier?? Thank you
C. Coleman ? I may give you that one....Ha
T. Lagrone? What is unique about him that can set the Ponies over the top??
Correct me if Iam wrong....In order to outrecruit an opponent....the opponent has to extend an offer !!

Gush didn't get it done here. Some of those losses cited by Stallion were during Gush's tenure as an assistant at SMU. Yeah, during the period cited by Stallion we were for the most part recruiting with two hands and a foot tied behind our backs, but still, that was then, and this is now. JJ has shown that he has raised the talent pool at SMU. No, we're not out recruiting former SWC mates (except perhaps Rice and Houston now). But the others (including now TCU) are BCS and that gives them an advantage. As I said, with the NFL lockout scheduled to go on for awhile. I would not be surprised to see Fox move Big XII and PAC 12 games to Sunday afternoons on Network during the strike, just so they don't have to show reruns of the Simpsons. Same could be said for CBS with SEC games and Big Ten games. This could mean that the Aggies game might be prime time on Network. Same with perhaps the TCU game if the strike lasts that long.
UNC better keep that Ram away from Peruna

BCS or not...we aren't even competing...

We Should be able to out recruit baylor in our backyard every year...Until we are beating them head to head we need to work harder...

These numbers do absolutely nothing to your point that recruiting is 80% of the game. Please tell me you had another reason in posting.

Id like Stallions opinion on something. I might get lambasted for this, but oh well.

No question jj was the right guy at the right time for SMU. that said, where do you think, say, Fran would be/would have been in year 4 of tx recruiting as opposed to where we are.

Baylor picked up their 6th DFW 3 Star but it doesn't really say who responsible recruiter was. The commit-Jared Johnson from South Grand Prairie-he attended the most recent SMU camp.

SMU has not offered this kid, even though both him and his team mate Leonard Aikens (rb) have said they wanted an SMU offer..Aikens said smu was his 1st choice...if we offered both I bet both would have commited.
