He would not have been in Printz's class. I think we were going after C. J. Betheard at the time until we started going after Burcham,

I was also pretty [deleted] our coaches for their lack of offers back in May. But, TCU doesn't seem to be any more or less agressive per this list than we are. They also are not listed as having offered a qb on this list.

Let's not forget that June looks for very specific qualities in a quarterback. It's possible that none of the three on the list have those qualities.

Quote from Baylor Scout article - After visiting Baylor University last week for Junior Day, Frisco Centennial High School standout Kevin Smith decided to give his verbal pledge to play for the Baylor Bears.

If you have rivals go back and dig through the Pony Expresses to see what he said about our coaches. If you don't, well then just know that it definitely lends credence to all those who thinks the staff is lazy argument.

Would those be the qualities that Padron and Kaiser have? Maybe the dartboard approach would be more effective...better yet, let's just offer the best QBs out there and actually try to get as many as possible to SMU.

I watched South Garland play last night. Charles Walker is a specimen. Now up to 6'4", 280 and has supposedly ran a 4.78 at camps with a 28" vertical. Seems to take plays off but can really turn it on. Seemed more athletic than Rockwall Heath's two d line Aggie commits. Early interest from OK but now only an offer from Tx State. Strange. As tough as big athletic d lineman are to find, seems like he'd be a hot commodity. Academic problems?

Maybe effort is a problem - I'd offer him before a lot of our offerees...(sg coaching left a lot to be desired btw):
Charles Walker DT South Garland: I had heard about Walker from a couple of people including a colleague of mine who played defensive line in college, and now officiates high school football in the Metroplex. Walker is a senior who plays nose tackle for South Garland.
He is 6'4" and 270 lbs with probably the longest arms I have ever seen on a high school player. He wingspan has to be easily in excess of 70 inches. He has been timed in the 40 in an amazing 4.78 seconds.
Walker has drawn interest from some major FBS schools including Texas A&M. Arkansas, Oklahoma and TCU. He has a great frame and is obviously an elite athlete.
Walker does not dominate like you would expect to see from an athlete with that size and speed combination. He shows flashes of great play but has a long way to go before being consistent.
Walker obviously would need to redshirt in college to get stronger and learn how to play on every down. With his wingspan he will be a DE in college. He could be a great strong side DE or a 3-4 DE at a FBS school after a redshirt year.

GO PONIES!!!
Yup - putting "GO PONIES" at the end of your post cleverly disguises how much you hate JJ, his staff, the teams, the cheerleaders, the faculty, the band, the university as a whole and perhaps life itself. Good one.

Go SMU!
