I read somewhere recently that we're in his top 3. When it's all said and done, it could come down (according to the report I read) to us, Tulsa and TCU.
If that's accurate, that should be the biggest no-brainer in recruiting history. Come on, Donald - join your brother at SMU!

that's not accurate based on quoted reports from recruiting services from as recently as yesterday after Massey returned from Tulsa. I haven't seen a report where Massey includes SMU as having a chance in a long time-the DMN simply is out of date. His favorite as of yesterday was LSU but still no offer. He will visit Tulsa(last weekend), TCU(1/09), Arkansas, and Houston. Will not now visit Kansas.

I'm not saying you're wrong, Stallion, since you certainly follow this stuff closely, but at least in this case, I certainly hope you are! I'm clinging to the idea that Massey has been laying low, but will stick with his brother. Keep your fingers crossed!

Last year it was KK and a cloud of dust.
Next year, when Chris Phillips (or RJ Meeks) gets the ball he can:
1) run with it
2) hand off to Munlin
3) hand off to R. Massey
4) throw to V. Chase
5) throw to big receiver B. Chase
6) Hopefully throw to speedster D. Massey
What an improvement over last year.
And what an insult if we lose him to Tulsa.

You probably need to include Jared Romo and Tony Eckert among the QB possibilities.
And add to your list of options:
7) Throw to Devin Lowery
Throw to a more experienced, confident Jay'Mond Cleveland, Reynaldo Pellerin or Blake Warren
9) Throw to a healthy Trey Griffin
10) Throw to a healthy Matt Rushbrook
11) and maybe throw to a healthy Jay Taylor?

I'm tired of waiting for jay Taylor to show up. That is one I will have to see to believe. Clearly we will have more in the way of offensive weapons next year.

I see a lot of bodies at WR-haven't seen a single one yet who has proven he is a QUALITY Division 1A players. I'd rate the position a DEFINITE poor coming into 2004. We desperately need some big time playmakers-right now we have ZERO.

WR’s were arguably our weakest-link last year.
That is saying a lot when you are the worst team in college football.
Outside of maybe Pellerin, I do not see the existing crop as the solution.
The Chase brothers and D. Massey could turn that around real quick.

Folks who saw him play in high school have told me that Lowery is a top-flight playmaker. Sure hope they're right. And Donald Massey is one of those guys who if you can get the ball in his hands is a threat to score at any point. Another friend has seen him play, and it sounds like he might be as fast as Jessie Henderson. If that's the case, we have suddenly become a MUCH faster team.

so you've already got Massey making us a much faster team when all legitimate reports indicate he isn't even considering SMU. Make sure to put him on your X-Mas List

Forgive me -- allow me to edit my last line:
"If that's the case and if Massey in fact ends at SMU, we have suddenly become a MUCH faster team."
I figured you knew that was what I meant the first time.

Don't worry, he misspells often, and attacks you for the same.
Instead of trying be reasonable about what you are writing, he infers things outside of what you wrote about, and that you never implied. Then slams you for it.
