I would vote for Memphis over Louisville because I think we have a better shot and its a month earlier in the process. Also maybe consider the Cincy game

He does not need an invite. He can go to all of them if he wishes.

Sorry for the diversion, but does every third prospect these days carry the last name Okafor? How many of them are there?
Okafor is the new Smith.

"I'll definitely factor in where certain players are going, but I wouldn't say that will be the basis of the decision. I watched some of the commitments last week and found it pretty interesting that certain people went certain places.
If a school gets a guy at my position in my class, I'm not gonna say I definitely wouldn't pick that school, but it's definitely something that would weigh heavy for me."
Dumb question. But would this not help us? If he's waiting until the Spring are the big schools going after him going to hold a spot just for him when they could fill it with the guy right behind him? He mentioned Louisville cut themselves with the guy they signed at his position already. If a couple of other pieces fall into place while he waits could it not be a musical chairs game where it's SMU and maybe just one other school left? Just a thought. I think I would be committing earlier if I was him, like EM.

With SMU you have to look at the fact that Moreira and Kennedy are here. Both have NBA potential and will have been in the system for 2 years. That might be why we were not on his original top 10 list. If he came here he would have to split a lot of minutes. And being a one and done you don't want to go where you have to split a lot of minutes whether you are starting or not.

I don't think Myles would have to really worry about "splitting" minutes with either of them. When you're a lottery pick in the draft, I'm pretty sure he would have no problem beating them out.

He mentioned that if another player of the same position committed to a school that he was looking at that it would weigh heavily for him. Again, it's not about starting but the best fit. Moreira was the number 1 JC player in the country so that should weigh heavily for him. I think Kansas or Duke would have the inside track right now. I believe we are a long shot imo. The young man is smartly analyzing his options.

True, and I've never seen these guys play so I might revise my position later, but I think you start Turner over Kennedy and make a 2 headed monster with Moreira playing power forward and Turner at Center. Turner is bigger than Moreira I believe. Kennedy is good and we need the "beef" but I think Turner is probably better than Kennedy RIGHT NOW (apples to apples -- of course Kennedy is older and more experienced on the college level, but if he wants to go to any elite school there will be a "Kennedy type" already there . . . I'm not too worried about this being an issue for him, but what do I know).

I have seen Kennedy play and he is a beast. Moreira and Kennedt are a 2 headed monster now imo. Both Turner and Moreira are 6'11 and in the 220/225 range.

Oh, ok. I thought Turner was around 7'1" and I would expect to be a little heavier by the time he starts playing here. He just seems more like a true center to me whereas Moreira is more of a true, killer elite SF in the mold of a Kevin Durant. Hell, put Kennedy at PF, Moreira at SF and Turner at Center. How about that as a front court along with EM at point and KF at SG (with a year of maturity and knowledge under his belt). That's a sweet 16 team Bo!

Thanks for enlightening me. For someone that spent all his college years around the basketball you figure I would know more about the team. But alas, I haven't really paid too much attention to the team over the past several years. Good to know that we have two potentially monsters to play down low. Can't ever have too many. I also understand that we are a long shot for Turner. Just guessing our odds keep improving as other talent is taken by some of our competition.

I like our chances better now then a week or so ago. If things break right for us as far as other bigs going to the right schools we have a good chance of getting Myles here. Kansas is on Cliff Alexander as well as Okafor. It is really kinda complicated. It was thought for a long time that Okafor and Tyus Jones were intent on going to the same school. That school being Duke. Lately there have been rumblings that they may split and Tyus go to Duke ( which he is a strong lean to ) and Okafor go to Kansas. If that happens Alexander will probably wind up at Illinois. Either way I think we are in a two or three way battle for Myles with Texas and some other school. Who knows at this point. Things change by the hour with these guys.
When will I start feeling stimulated??

This is the correct take
