This is going to be a wild year in recruiting with a lot of mysterious decommitments and good recruits getting slow played. There are a bunch of recruits out there that know that it is 100% IMPOSSIBLE for them to qualify to be eligible to play in 2016 no matter how many stars they have. A kid must have 10 NCAA required core classes completed out of the required 16 by the start of their Senior season (in other words today) and they can't go back and retake those core classes to improve their required 2.3 GPA to be eligible (+ sliding scale SAT/ACT) I'll be real interested to see if schools back off from kids that can't meet the new standards. There are already several 3 stars that have already gone MIA in recruiting and I'd suspect they are in serious jeopardy. So keep that in mind when kids start jumping all over the place this recruiting season. It may be tha they are headed for JUCOs or mandatory freshman academic redshirt. Many schools may prefer a kid that is fully eligible in 2016

You add in there that many P5 schools are only sitting at 14 commitments, and UT and OU only have 8. All of those schools have filled up early the last several years and like you mentioned are probably waiting to understand where the kids are from a grades perspective. You are going to see a lot of P5 schools come in and pluck commitments away from non-P5 schools this year more than ever before. It is going to make things crazy the last few months of recruiting.
